The collected residues will be separated and directed to the appropriate destinies.

The interested people in participating in the activity can enrol next to the Flores Ecoteca, of the Services of Environment of Flores and Corvo or then through the services of the Voluntary Firemen of Santa Cruz das Flores.

The initiative still reckons with the support of the Voluntary Firemen of Santa Cruz das Flores, of the Local Command of the Sea Police, of the Flores Youngsters Association, of the Naval Club of Lajes das Flores, of the Mareocidental and of the Ocidental Hotel which will be going to supply the whole immersion equipment.

The activity is associated to the Aware Project (http://www.projectaware.org/english/take_action/international_cleanup_day_locations.aspx), an annual voluntary event that intends to attract attention for the devastating impact that the wastes have in the aquatic environment.
