Jorge agreed on the temporary transfer, on behalf of vessels that operate from other islands of the Region, of capture rights of blackspot seabream (pagellus bogaraveo) in the this year’s campaign in a total of 15,5 tons.
The transferred amounts by the fishermen of Santa Maria will be distributed by vessels of S. Miguel and Terceira (5,7 and 2,8 tons, respectively), while the available quota for S. Jorge reverts on behalf of fishing grounds settled in Terceira (1,03 tons), Faial (2,1 tons), Graciosa (1,3 tons), Pico and Flores (1,0 tons) and Corvo (0,5 tons).
The European Union established, in Community Regulation, the attribution of annual fishing means of 1.116 tons of captures of blackspot seabream in the seas of the Azores in the years 2007 and 2008.
