Regional Government of the Azores invests four million euros in the agricultural sector of São Jorge
The Regional Government of the Azores consigned a four million euro investment project to a civil construction consortium of three firms that will execute the civil construction improvements in the agricultural water-supply networks CP1, CP2, CP4, CP8, CS1 and CS2 as well as improving the agricultural roads CP1 and CP2 in the Agricultural Planning Perimeter (POA) of Beira/Rosais, on the island of São Jorge.
The civil construction project consists in the construction of a 16 km agricultural water-supply network that will enable the direct supply of water to 150 farms situated in the vicinity of the Parque das Sete Fontes, Canada da Serroa, Canada da Preguiça e Canada do Farol and the paving of the Terreiro da Macela, Parque das Sete Fontes, covering a total area of seven kilometres.
The consortium entrusted with this 18-month project consists of three companies, Tecnovia Açores-Sociedade de Empreitadas, S.A, Somague-Ediçor, Engenharia, S.A. and Marques, S.A.
