The President of the Government receives Friday political parties and social partners in a round of hearings to prepare proposals for the Medium-term Guidelines 2017-2020 and this year's Plan and Budget, the first documents of this new legislative period.
 
After this round of hearings to parties with parliamentary representation and social partners, which will take place throughout the day in Ponta Delgada at the invitation of Vasco Cordeiro, the Council of the Regional Government will meet to approve the draft proposals for the Medium-term Guidelines 2017-2020 and the Regional Plan for 2017. These documents will be later submitted and analysed by the Regional Strategic Concertation Council.
 
In February, the proposals, after being approved by the Council of the Government, will be delivered at the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores for discussion and approval at plenary.
