The President of the Government stated that the new Regional Secretary for Transport and Public Works, Ana Cunha, who took office today at the Legislative Assembly, provides the best guarantees of competence and determination, which will help the Azores to continue the path of recovery in terms of economic and social indicators.
 
"The new government official provides guarantees of competence and determination that will certainly contribute to the continuation of the path towards the growing affirmation and recovery of various social and economic indicators, working for the benefit of the Azores," said Vasco Cordeiro.
 
The President of the Government spoke to journalists after the solemn swearing-in ceremony of Ana Cunha as Regional Secretary for Transport and Public Work. The event took place at the beginning of this month's plenary session of the Legislative Assembly of the Autonomous Region of the Azores.
 
On the occasion, Vasco Cordeiro also highlighted the competence, dedication and determination with which Vítor Fraga led the matters under his jurisdiction under the XI Government and, currently, the XII Government, namely fundamental areas in the development of the Azores such as tourism and the model of air accessibility to the Region.
 
"At the moment when engineer Vítor Fraga ceases duties as Regional Secretary for Transports and Public Works of the XII Government, I want, on my behalf and on behalf of the Regional Government, to express this public expression of recognition of the work he developed and the results he achieved for the benefit of our Region," said the President of the Government.
