Over 50 thousand children and youngsters will receive Azorean Complement to Family Allowance
More than 50 thousand Azorean children and youngsters, who benefit from the family allowance, will receive during this month the payment of Azorean Complement to the Family Allowance, with the retroactive pay corresponding to January 2009.
The maximum amount of the Complement is of twelve Euros for the beneficiaries of the Allowance level 1.
With this measure to support Azorean families, the Government of the Azores will annually spend an amount surpassing two million Euros.
The Azorean Government has created the Azorean Complement to the Family Allowance for children and youngsters, thus reinforcing family policies in the Region.
This Complement is the result of the social policies for Azorean families, through which the Government will ensure the compensation of family expenses arisen from the increase in the number of children, and reduce the expenses on housing and food.
