The Government of the Azores will finance in nearly 98 thousand euros the creation, in Faial and S. Miguel, of two new enterprises projected by youngsters in the framework of the Empreende Jovem - System of Incentives to the youthful Entrepreneurship.

Globally budgeted for 214 thousand euros, the two initiatives will receive 64 thousand euros in non refundable incentives and around 34 thousand in the payment of interest.

Set in the framework of the beginning of the new Community Operational Programmes in force till 2013, the Empreende Jovem contemplates two measures - one of support to the creation of enterprises for youngsters (constantly open to the presentation of candidatures) and another one of support to professional traineeships (with phases of candidature).

As part of the aids to the professional traineeships, this year endowed with a global financing of a million euros, the Executive also approved the execution of five training courses in enterprises of the Terceira and S. Miguel Islands.

The execution of these traineeships, with duration of one year, is going to be financed by the Empreende Jovem in 56 thousand euros, attributed to the promoting entities (45,4 thousand) and guiding entities (10,9 thousand - University of the Azores and Chamber of Trade and Industry of Angra).

The new Incentive Systems to the Entrepreneurship intends to stimulate a new culture of initiative that, through the publication of quality projects, allows the renovation of the regional business system and the vocational qualification of the youngsters in traineeships in the Region, in the Country or abroad.
