The president of the Government of the Azores highlighted again, this afternoon, “the useful role of our Armed Forces as part of their peace missions and namely in areas that are very sensitive to us, especially in the civil protection area”.

Carlos César still reaffirmed the regard for the cordiality and political collaboration that have been marking the relations between the Regional Government and the Armed Forces and he said that he feels that the effort that the Country has been doing, in the way of its reequipment and its exaltation is an effort that reverts on behalf of the common good, by which it is that that transmits in several opportunities that come across him.

It was today’s case, by chance of an audience, for presentation of greetings, which he granted to the new Operational Commander of the Azores, Vice-Admiral João da Cruz de Carvalho Abreu.

Carlos César still said to have renewed, in the name of the Regional Government, the purposes of the best collaboration with the Armed Forces stationed in the Region.
