“Azores: from the Fire to the Forest” (Açores: do Fogo à Floresta) is the title of the photo exhibition by Pedro Cardoso that opened to public at the Flores last Monday.
This exhibition traces the evolution of the natural history of the Azores, from the volcanic eruptions to the vegetable and animal settlement on the islands, will be open to the public in Santa Cruz das Flores until March 31. It may be visited from Monday to Friday, from 9AM to 12 PM and from 2 PM to 5 PM.
It is an excellent work tool for schools as well as for those engaged in environmental protection, as the subjects are presented with scientific accuracy, but taking into didactic and appealing approach, to be easily understood by non-experts.
A native of Lisbon, Pedro Cardoso holds a doctorate in Ecology and Biosystematics, developing research in the areas of Ecology, Conservation, Biogeography and Taxonomy of arachnids.
