The initiative - a Holiday at the Carlos Machado Museum - will be held on Friday, April 9.
Similarly to previous years, the Education Service will offer several recreation and educational activities addressed at children aged between 5 and 12, such as guided visit to the exhibitions, a clue game, plastic expression activities, chemistry experiments, among other surprises.
This year, a holiday at the Museum will focus on the temporary exhibition titled as “Islands and Natural History,” which is open to the public at the Centre of Sacred Art, through which, themes such as the first collections of the Museum and the issues related to the volcanic origin of the Azorean Islands, among other contents, will be addressed during this day.
With a number of participants limited to 20 children, registrations must be made at the Centre of Sacred Art, Old Colégio Church, until April 7.
The activities will take place from 9 AM to 12:30 PM and from 2 PM to 5 PM. All participants are required to bring practical clothes.
