“Guessing stories” and “The Dragon of a thousand flowers” are two workshops that the Ponta Delgada Public Library and Regional Archive (BPARPD) will organise next week for the little ones.
Both activities are scheduled for Tuesday at 10 o’clock. The first initiative mentioned is meant for children between the ages of seven and nine years old. The second is intended for children between the ages of three and eight years old.
For Wednesday, at 14:30 hr, the BPARPD scheduled an activity of guided research whose purpose it to foment the correct utilisation of the online search catalogue of that public library.
Entitled “Search and Find”, this initiative, destined for a target audience between the ages of seven and eighteen years and seeks to develop the research capacities of youngsters when they search for information that can be found in the library.
This programme of the BPARPD is intended for children that are receiving care at the Paediatrics Services of the Hospital do Divino Espírito Santo. With a similar goal in mind, the BPARPD will also organise, on Thursday, at 16:30 hrs, in that same hospital, a series of pedagogical events entitled “Book Vitamin”, the principal purpose of which is to promote habits of reading.
At the “Morada da Escrita – Casa Armando Côrtes Rodrigues “, on Saturday after 2 PM, another workshop entitled “As Tardes da Inge” will take place, an opportunity for members of the public to perfect their English proficiency. This workshop will have a special guest, the writer Inge Perreault.
