The Ponta Delgada Public Library and Regional Archives (BPARPD) promotes, next week, as part of the initiative “Cinema on Holidays”, the projection of a set of movies of themes of the infantile and juvenile imaginary.
On Monday, at 10 o’clock, and for children older than five years, the movie "The Robinsons" will be projected. It is the story about Lewis, a brilliant inventor with a surprising number of intelligent inventions of his authorship.
On the same day, but at 14.30 o’clock, the movie "Hannah Montana: Pop Star" is shown, for children older than six years old, which tells the story of a young boy in the city who is going to learn not to judge people for their appearance, after living a hilarious adventure.
On Tuesday, at 10 o’clock, the movie “Bridge to Terabithia", concerning the birth of a beautiful friendship between a boy and a girl, will be projected, for a target public of 12 years old. He loves drawing and she likes telling fantasy and magic stories. Together, they create the secret kingdom of Terabithia.
On next day, “Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer” "invade" the auditorium at 10 o’clock for children older than 12 years old. The Fantastic Four finds its biggest challenge when the enigmatic intergalactic messenger, Silver Surfer, arrives Earth to prepare the planet for destruction.
For Thursday, the BARPD has two projections planned: the first one, “The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement”, at 10.00 o’clock and for children older than five years old, tells the story of Mia who is going to have to take the throne! And as it wasn’t enough, Genovia’s law imposes that the princesses have to be married to be able to be crowned. But the search for a fiancé isn’t going to be easy at all. On Monday, at 14.30 o’clock and for children older than six years old, “Herbie Fully Loaded” is a comedy in which Herbie is put to the test, in the asphalt, in the mud, in competition traces till breaking records.
In the week’s closure, on Friday, the movie “Stardust” is projected at 14.00 o’clock and for children older than six years old.
This movie invites for a captivating story lived between a young man who makes a promise to the most beautiful girl of the village. He promises her to bring a Shooting Star, having for that to cross the prohibited walls and enter in a mysterious Kingdom full of magic and of countless legends. But the Shooting Star is after all a young beautiful girl, who is pursued by her incredible powers, coveted by the King’s cruel sons and a sinister and desperate Witch.
All the projections will have place in the auditorium of the Ponta Delgada Public Library and Regional Archives and its access claims for prior marking.
