The Angra do Heoísmo Public Library and Regional Archive (BPARAH) presents from today, in its website of the Internet, a virtual exhibition of eight coats of arms of Azorean families, which images, in different sizes, are accompanied by the respective descriptions.

The exhibition can be visited from the direct access connection in www.bparah.azores.gov.pt/html/bparah-arquivo+regional-colecoes+documentos.html.

It is a set of heraldic sorts originating from different archives, organized together with expositive finality.

According to the BPARAH, the resource to the new technologies allows “to bring near the institution of the citizens, breaking the constraints imposed by the physical space and opening to a bigger number of users new access ways to its documentary treasures”.
