Since December 2019, Azores are the few palces in the world with the designation Sustainable Touristic Destination. This title was from EathCheck certification body, accredicted by the Global Tourism Sustainable Council (GTSC). GSTC  is an independent and neutral organization, created by UN agencies and NOG’s, and establishes and manages the highest level credibility global standards on sustainable tourism.
